Bainbridge High School held a blood drive on Wednesday, August 31. Students who wanted to “give the gift of life” had to sign up and were given a time to come in to have their blood drawn. Blood donor Jimmy Williams said, “The procedure was simple and painless.” Donating blood also allowed them to receive a couple of gifts in return. Some students got blankets and candy, while others got cups and bracelets. According to Katie, one of the blood drive nurses, “Blood donations are typically used to assist patients fighting cancer, blood disorders, and traumatic injuries.”
