FBLA Back In Action
Carli Houston and Gurpreet Kaur fill out membership applications.
The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) met on Tuesday, August 16, at 7:15 a.m. in Mr. Randall’s room for their first meeting. President Isabelle Campbell, Vice-President Joy Taylor, Reporter Gurpreet Kaur, and Treasurer Olivia Griner opened the meeting and welcomed new and returning members. At the meeting the officers informed the members of the plans for the 2022-2023 school year, including: fundraisers, community service, competitions, and field trips.
FBLA plans to attend many conferences this year, starting with the Fall Motivational Rally on October 13 in Perry, Georgia. The Fall Motivational Rally allows FBLA chapters to introduce their members to the different competition areas and to motivate each chapter to compete. On November 10, FBLA will be returning to Perry, Georgia, for the Fall Leadership Conference where they will build leadership skills by attending workshops, as well as compete in games against other FBLA chapters in the state of Georgia.
The FBLA members will be taking part in many community service projects in the community and at Bainbridge High School. They plan to work on the clothes closet alongside other CTSO organizations, as well as sponsoring a game at Syrup Sop on November 3. They will also be attending the homecoming parade on their own float on October 6. FBLA will have a busy, but exciting school year.
