On April 25, 2023, the BHS Lady Cats and Bearcats competed in the annual Region Prelims at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, GA. The BHS Lady Cats finished second out of five teams with a result of 27 and the BHS Bearcats also finished second out of five teams with a result of 22. Nya Blocker finished first in both the 100 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash. Jace Weaver finished first in the 300 Meter Dash. Jahlae Sapp finished first in both the 800 Meter Run and 1600 Meter Run.

On April 26, 2023, the BHS Lady Cats and Bearcats competed in the annual  Region 1 Match at the Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, GA, both teams competed against four teams. The BHS Lady Cats finished with a score of 172, and the BHS Bearcats finished third with a result of 136.50. Nya Blocker placed first in the 100, 200, and 400 Meter Dashes. Kyra Green placed first in the High Jump and Treasure Jenkins placed first in the Shot Put. Jahlae Sapp placed first in the 800, 1600, and 3200 Meter Runs.
