On April 21, 2023, various Art Club and Art students were tasked with painting the four panes of glass that makes up Scoops’ storefront as part of the Bicentennial window painting contest. Five students were given their own window to paint whatever their hearts desired. Paxton Pope was given the entrance door, where he painted an ice cream cone. They spent the better part of four hours painting to reveal a revamped Scoops, colored with the pride of Decatur County. Each student was given a donation of $10 and an assortment of chocolate covered treats.
