On Friday, March 31, 2023, BHS hosted the 15th Annual Special Olympics in the BHS Gymnasium.  At 8:30 a.m. the Olympians were led by the Decatur County Sheriff Department and our very own Corporal Leroy Akins. As our olympians entered the gym, BMS assistant principal and former wrestling coach Mr. Chad Smith kicked off the competition. The BHS Band led the national anthem and our very own Joshua Fillingame led our community in prayer. According to the sponsors, the 2023 Special Olympics was one of the most memorable events of the year.
