On Friday, March 24, coordinator Christy McCoy visited our school in order to decorate the gymnasium for the prom, titled “A Red Carpet Affair”. The theme of dark and mysterious was executed flawlessly by McCoy as the gym was brought to life with masquerade ball-esque designs. McCoy has been organizing and decorating for numerous types of events going on 12 years now, previously a professional photographer. Though decorating isn’t her main squeeze, she provides services like interior design, remodeling and organizing homes, and a little bit of graphic design. 

Being a jack of all trades, she’s organized for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and even the Inauguration Ball for FAMU. Though she is a busy woman, she’s still a family woman. She says the fact that she can pick and choose which events to coordinate allows her to spend time with her three children if they too can find the time. 

We appreciate everything that Christy has done for BHS, and we hope to see her back the next go-round.
