There were three varsity golf events this past week. On Monday, March 13 , there was the Granger Shootout in Lagrange, Georgia. On Tuesday, March14 , there was a match in Bainbridge, Georgia. On Thursday, March 16, the Panther Invitational was reported from Phenix City, Alabama. At the Grange Shootout Sam Surratt was the lowest scorer, at the second match in Bainbridge John David Bell and Anastasia Davis were the lowest scorers, and Sam Surratt and Cy Taunton scored the lowest in the Panther Invitational. Byrd inquired of Coach Wade, “How did your team do from a coach’s perspective?” He responded, “The team is always becoming better. Golf is a challenging sport to master, but the players are working hard to improve every day.” We wish our Bearcats luck in their competition in Valdosta next week.
