On February 21, a multitude of winning games were played by the Bearcats and the Lady Cats. Starting off was the boy’s game against Sherwood Christian Academy, scoring seven first half goals in a 10-0 shut-out on Centennial Field.

Midfielder Jose Bonilla-Ortiz scored 3 goals alongside Brock Williams. Blake Fagan, Andrew Brock, and Nick Tyre all scored a goal a piece, the tenth goal was an own-goal by Sherwood. Henry Vanstone proceeded with two assists alongside Angel Bonilla-Ortiz, Tyre, and Fagan with each of their own assists. With a combined effort of Dax Willis and Lathan Holt, they were able to play a total of 70 minutes to preserve a shut-out.

Further down the line, the Lady Cats were facing off the Sherwood Christian Lady Eagles. Victorious with a score of 3-0, the Lady Cats gave a strong defensive effort. A corner kick by Addison Hill that shot directly to Dallas Thompson plunged the Cats into a 1-0 lead; in the 35th minute of he first half, Hill scored and gave the cats a 2-0 lead. Hill displayed extreme skill in her craft as she’d received a pass from Brennyn Timmons that she scored from 20 yards out.

The Cats are relentless in their efforts to secure their victories this season, and we hope there are many more wins to come.
