I think my favorite part of being a mentor is seeing the kids smile as we walk down the halls. Looking up to us and gasping, thinking we look cool in our uniforms, and then seeing the mentees faces light up when they see all of us. It’s really heart warming knowing that we put a smile on their faces and can be a friend to them.
How has the mentoring program changed you/your perspective as an individual?
I’m not sure if I would say mentoring
has changed me as a person. I think it has given me really cool experiences that I do appreciate. And I hope that the students enjoy being mentored and having us there as much as we all enjoy being there for them as well.
Congratulations to these mentors and thank you for making a difference in the Bearcat community!
