For the second year in a row, Lee Howell has been selected for the Georgia Music Educator Association All-State Band. Lee was one of four oboe players chosen from District and State Auditions to perform in the All-State Band. Additionally, Leet has also been selected to participate in GMEA District II Honor Band and Auburn University Honor Band. Regarding the All-State Band, Lee says, “It’s very realistic on how the real music world is in an ensemble.” The band learns the song before collaborating closely with their section. Lee was thankful for the opportunity to visit numerous school booths and organizations, but the experience he gained from the conductors was by far the most valuable.
