The boys’ and girls’ basketball home games this week were as follows. The Varsity Bearcats ruthlessly defeated the Thomas County Yellow Jackets 67-39 on Tuesday, November 29. The Lady Jackets defeated the Lady Cats 33–37. In their first victory over Monroe in years, the Varsity Bearcats defeated them 44-35 on Friday, December 2. The Monroe Lady Tornadoes defeated the Lady Cats 48–38. The Bearcats lost their first game of the season in a very difficult manner, 47-46, to the Lowndes County Vikings in the final game of the week on Saturday, December 3. Lowndes County Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Cats 22-63.
