Victory on Veteran’s Day
The Air Force JROTC, BHS Band, and BHS Color Guard pay tribute to the U.S. Veterans.

On November 11, the Bainbridge High School Bearcats defeated the Baldwin Braves 58-20. Bainbridge scored two touchdowns and Baldwin scored one touchdown in the first quarter, bringing the score to 14-7. The second quarter ended with a score of 42-13 thanks to four touchdowns from Bainbridge and one from Baldwin. Baldwin failed to score in the third quarter, while Bainbridge gained one touchdown, leaving the final score at 51-13. In the fourth quarter, both Bainbridge and Baldwin scored a touchdown, bringing the score to 58-20.
The pregame show at this game was made special by the Air Force JROTC for Veteran’s Day. The members of AFJROTC spread out a 40 ft x 60 ft American flag, while the BHS Band played the “Star-Spangled Banner”. The BHS Band also played each of the respective anthems for each branch of the U.S. Military, while the BHS Color Guard held up the respective flag. The branches honored were: the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, the Coast Guard, and the Space Force.
Prior to the halftime show, all the BHS region champs were recognized. The first group to be recognized was the One-Act Play team, who will be competing for state at Warner Robins on November 19. The next group was the BHS Girls’ Cross Country team, who won regions, and the BHS Boys’ Cross Country team, who were region runner-ups.
