The BHS Drama One-Act cast performed their two public performances of “Little Women” on Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25. They performed the play in the Kirbo Center, where the One-Act Competition is hosted this year. The Monday performance was the first time the cast did a run-through with full props, as well as costumes on the Kirbo stage. Tuesday was the first time the cast used microphones. Overall, both shows went smoothly, the only problems being technical problems rather than acting.

The group will compete on Saturday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m., which makes them the first group to compete. The cast will continue practicing at the Kirbo Center during their class period all week. They will work on shaving down the time, and creating smoother prop and set transitions. “As a cast, I feel like we need to embody our characters, and try to be in tune with who we are trying to play,” explained cast member Kenny Henry. If the cast wins this regional competition, they will move on to the state competition in November.
