On October 13, thirteen BHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members attended the Fall Rally at the National Georgia Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. High schools from around the entire state all convened at the Rally. BHS arrived around 10:00 a.m. and attended a motivational speech at 10:30 given by Eddie Slowikowski. Slowikowski spoke about “lighting a trail”, which is FBLA’s theme for the 2022-2023 school year to inspire all FBLA members to believe and trust in themselves.

At 1:00 p.m. FBLA gave out open tests to allow the students to see what the testing will be like at the regional competitions. There are many different areas of business that these tests cover, for example there is healthcare science, journalism, or even business communications. There were middle school chapter events available alongside the high school events. The BHS FBLA members did two tests either as a group, or individually. FBLA member Emily Franke explained that, “They prepared me well for potential tests that I will take at regions.”  After taking the tests, they all went to ride the attractions at the fairgrounds.  They left around 4:00 p.m. and arrived home at BHS at 7:00 p.m.
