Sign Up for the SAT or ACT Today!

The ACT and SAT are important exams for college entrance. They are usually required for acceptance, but recently they have been waived due to COVID-19 and the amount of time the classes currently in high school missed because of it. Even though these are waived, the SAT and ACT are highly recommended in the application process, and those that submit scores have chances of getting scholarships based on high scores. In Georgia, the Zell Miller Scholarship is given to those with an SAT score of at least 1200 and a composite ACT score of at least 26.

Students can prepare for these tests through their websites. ACT offers many services for preparation on ACT.org, and CollegeBoard offers free SAT preparation services through Khan Academy. At BHS the ACT/SAT prep class is also offered and taught by Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Hawkins.

The October test dates are no longer available, but students may now start signing up for the next dates. For the SAT, the next exam is on November 5, 2022, and the registration deadline is October 7. The late fee deadline is October 25. For the ACT, the next exam is on December 10, 2022. The normal deadline is November 4, and the late fee deadline is November 11.
